Hurry Up and Wait

Isn't it the truth in so many things in our lives?  Well for right now just wanted to update on Dad...it has been a rough week.  But basically I think that now that the stem cells have connected (grafted), he is getting a little better everyday.  He was having problems with his heart last week, but his rate seems to be slowing down, especially at night.  When he moves around or works with physical therapy it tends to go back up, so we are waiting for that to get completely back to normal.  He is also still fighting fevers and very weak.  At this point physical therapy is working with him and he did sit up at the side of the bed yesterday and they were hoping to get him out of bed today, but I am not sure if that happened.  He was made NPO or nothing by mouth earlier last week, but as of this morning he had taken sips of water and would continue to do so today as long as the nausea is at bay.  He also had major mouth sores, as were expected from the chemo and it was hard to understand him, but he says he is keeping his mouth moist and he is easier to understand everyday.  He seems to know his strength and is taking it a day at a time, bless his heart!
