First Kiss

Kyleigh has what I would like to call a little crush on a boy at her school.  He is not in her class, he is in the other kindergarten teacher's class, but apparently they play together at recess.  About a month ago she told me that there was a kid she played with at recess named Cannon she said, "I think he's handsome!"  The handsome was drawn out.  I just had to laugh.  So for the next few weeks she talks about him and stuff but nothing too big.  So on Sunday Bailyn needed to go to the bathroom towards the end of sacrament meeting and I took her.  I saw Cannon in the hallway, realizing that he must meet in the ward before us.  I thought it was interesting and later that day I asked Kyleigh, "Guess who I seen today?"  She said, "Who?" I said, "Cannon."  She said, "Oh...he tried to kiss me on Friday!"  I was like what?!?! and she proceeded to tell me that he tried to kiss her, but she ran away because we can have friends, but we can't have kissing friends.  I told her that was right and that we don't kiss boys until we are at least 16!!!  She then said that if I see him again not to tell her...whatever that means!  Between you and I she really does have a little or maybe BIG crush on the boy!  So on Monday she came home from school and I asked her to go check the mail.  As she was walking out the door she told me, "Cannon kissed me today."  I again was like what!?!?  I asked her where and she pointed to her cheek.  I asked her what she did and she said she ran away and went and told the whistle lady.  Then she went and played with her other friends.  As I picked her up from school today, she was getting ready to get in the car and Cannon came up to her to show her something.  I asked her about it and she got all shy and embarrassed and didn't want to talk about him.  WOW!  I think I am going to have to watch this girl!

Isn't it crazy how they change when they go into kindergarten? AFter a couple of weeks of school we would ask Emily what her fav part of school was and she would say "chasing the boys". Seriously. Now she is into the phrase "missed me, missed me, now you have to kiss me".
We are still at the "he tried to kiss me" stage. Hoping it doesn't go any further.
GOOD LUCK!!
